How to finally feel “good enough”

We need to have us a chat about your self-worth mmkay?

Here's something I see a lot of (and had to work through myself):

And that's using something outside of yourself to feel worthy

It could be:
✅ Success
✅ Money
✅ Acceptance
✅ Beauty
✅ Praise

For the sake of argument, let's assume it's possible to earn worthiness

I mean can you earn something if you already have it? 🤔🤔🤔🤔

Here's what happens:

If success = worthiness

Then anything less than a touchdown will be proof of your UNworthiness.

So chances are, you’ll freeze up and do nothing so you don’t have to risk it, amirite?

If your beauty = worthiness


Then every gray hair, dimple on your butt, or wrinkle will be proof of your UNworthiness (until of course beauty standards change again tomorrow) #SidePartForLife

If money = worthiness

Then you'll make financial decisions out of scarcity and money will always feel hard.

And chances are you won’t want to invest in yourself so you’ll always be under earning and leaving money on the table.

If praise = worthiness

Then you'll constantly seek validation at the expense of your own joy.

And you'll make silence = proof of your UNworthiness

No likes on your post? No “atta boy” from your coworkers and boss? Clearly, you’re doing something wrong and everyone secretly hates you.

If acceptance = worthiness

Then you'll see rejection everywhere

Someone says "no" to your offer? UNWORTHY

You don't get an invite to that thing that your friends knew you didn't want to go to? Unnnnnnnworthy!

The more you try to prove your worthiness to yourself, the more unworthy you'll feel

Because all you'll see is evidence to the contrary

And every goal you set will feel traumatizing


So you'll likely:
✅ Set goals that are "too easy" and then tell yourself you could've done more
✅ Set goals that are "too hard" and use anything less than 100% as evidence you suck
✅ Or not set any goals

So what's the alternative? How do you finally feel like you’re good enough?

1. Set goals and know that you're enough
2. Fall on your face and know that you're enough
3. Miss the mark and know that you're enough
4. Stay exactly the same and know that you're enough

You have nothing to prove.

So you can set goals for the fun of it.
Get gussied up for the fun of it.
Make money for the fun of it.
Help others for the fun of it.

and life gets a whole lot more fun!

If you want to finally feel “good enough,” look for the plentiful evidence that you already are.

And if you know, deep down, you have genius inside of you waiting to come out if you could only get past the fear of failing or not being “good enough” - I've got you.
